Customers don’t need anyone to help Oracle sell them more software. Quite the opposite.

First, most customers have enough database software to last forever if shown the proper optimization strategies.

Furthermore, Oracle over-staffs its sales efforts with a crowd of personnel, including telesales from oversees and US-based call centers, and field sales reps across multiple business units.

But most importantly, customers lack leverage at the negotiating table, especially with regards to annual operational expenses.

Hence, I have formed Rational IT Partners, a vendor-independent consulting firm that empowers better IT decisions.
